Axe Throwing Event

ZOR Shrine is planning an axe throwing event at the summer MSA event! So, get your throwing arms in shape for some friendly competition. We are asking each Temple to put together a team consisting of the Potentate, Chief Rabban, and Assistant Chief Rabban, also there has to be at least 2 ladies on the team. There will be trophies given out to the highest scoring team! There will also be an opportunity for individuals to try their luck out as well.

The event will be taking place at the Drift Less Axe Bar and Arcade located at 300 4th Street South in downtown LaCrosse. The staff at the Drift Less Axe are looking forward to hosting this event, they will have drink and food specials available. There are 8 lanes available for us that accommodate up to 4 to 5 people per round. Each round lasts approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour. This event will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2024, and Friday, August 9, 2024, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm each day. 

Trophies will be awarded for first, second, and third places for each day. The awards will be given out at the Friday night at the Shrinerama. No trophies will be awarded for the individual scores.

This is a great opportunity for some fun and fellowship with our other Temples!

Escape Rooms

For those of you who have an interest in or have participated in escape rooms here’s another opportunity to enjoy them! The owner will be opening the Escape Rooms located across the street from the Drift Less Axe and Arcade on Thursday, August 8, 2024, and Friday, August 9, 2024, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm each day. There are two escape rooms in operation, but the owner may have a third room ready by the time MSA arrives in town. Each room takes approximately 1 hour to complete and then there will be approximately 30 to 45 minutes for preparation of the room for the next group. 

Each room can accommodate 3 teams of 4 – 5 people per team. With the limited space and time for this event, we suggest that each Temple attempt to have people available in the event there is an opening from another team.
