Come join the Fun!
This year the Wisconsin Zor Shriners are hosting our Annual Midwest Shrine Association.
Wondering what to do while you are in the area: One event we have put together is the Downtown La
Crosse Poker Run highlighting local businesses within walking distance to the downtown hotels where
our families will be staying. Our committee has put together a flyer which will contain several
businesses that are within walking distance of where we will be residing during Midwest.
You can sign up for the event now with your online registration, or when you get to LaCrosse, you can
sign up at the following locations and times:
Wednesday, August 7th , Noon to 6 pm, Market Place located by Ballroom of the Radisson
Wednesday, August 7th , 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, 2nd Floor Ballroom, LaCrosse Center
Thursday, August 8th , 8 am to Noon, Market Place located by Ballroom of the Radisson
First 150 people to register will receive a ZOR MSA 2024 Deck of Cards with their registration fee of $20.
When you visit the designated establishments on the Poker Run you will receive a stamp on your flyer.
Each stamp makes you eligible to draw a card. One card per stamp per location.
All players must turn in their flyers and pick their hands prior to 4 pm on Friday, August 9 th .
Prize winners will be announced at Shrine A Rama and must be present to win.
1 st Place - $250
2 nd Place - $100
3 rd Place – $50
All participants will be entered to win a Prize Basket with donations from all businesses participating in
the Poker Run.
We will have 1st , 2nd and 3rd prize winners as well as a chance to win a Basket filled with all kinds of
goodies.

Poker Run Rules
1. Cost to participate is $20.00. Pamphlets indicate that you are a participant and must be stamped at each location to indicate you visited location. Purchase at location is not required, however highly appreciated.
2. If playing MORE than one hand, the participant must present a second Poker Run Pamphlet to be stamped.
3. Once pamphlet is complete, return to Poker Run Booth located in the MSA Market Place located by the Radisson Hotel Ballroom to draw your cards. One card per stamp per location.
4. In case of a tie, there will be a draw for High Card to determine the winner.
5. Participants MUST BE PRESENT to receive any winnings! Winners announced during intermission of the Dweebs at Shrine – A – Rama on Friday, August 9th
6. All decisions of the judges are FINAL!
Poker Run Booth located in the MSA Market Place will be staffed:
Wednesday, August 7th from Noon to 6 pm
Thursday, August 8th from 8 am to Noon
Friday, August 9th from 2 pm to 4 pm
All players must turn in their sheets and pick their hands prior to 4 pm on Friday, August 9th.

Poker Hand Rankings (highest to lowest):
Royal Flush: Run of sequential cards from Ten to Ace, with all cards of the same suit
Straight Flush: Run of sequential cards, all cards in the same unit, but not Ace high
Four of a Kind: Four cards of the same rank plus a pair: e.g. Four Aces, Four Kings, etc
Full House: Three cards of the same rank plus a pair, e.g. three Aces and a pair of Kings
Flush: A hand with all 5 cards in the same suit
Straight (run): Five sequential cards, not of the same suit
Three of a Kind: Three cards of the same rank e.g. three Aces, three Kings, etc
Two Pair: Two sets of pairs e.g. a pair of Aces and a pair of Kings
Pair: Two cards of the same rank e.g. two aces, two kings, etc
High Card: If you have none of the above, then the highest value card in your hand plays.
